About us.
The Baker Boy is proudly owned by Maddie and Tayla. It all began during the first COVID lockdown, when Maddie purchased what was then known as George’s Bakery. Baking has always been apart of Maddie's life, having grown up with his dad owning a bakery. After several years working alongside his dad he then took on the challenge of owning his own a bakery.
When Maddie & Tayla first opened The Baker Boy Tayla was originally working in the shop alongside her sister in law (also Tayla) before stepping away to focus on her banking career and raising their two children. Now, after some time away, Tayla has made the decision to return to The Baker Boy full-time to help grow the business and take it into its next chapter.
Outside of the bakery, life is just as busy, they spend a lot of their spare time at speedway meetings, where Maddie races Super Stocks.
